A friend of mine also has a cub scout. She had a brilliant idea of getting the boys together a couple of times a month to work on some badges. Friday they worked on emergency phone numbers, how to answer the phone, sawing and hammering. The sawing and hammering was done with adult supervision of course! It was a fun afternoon with "W" family!

Addelyn just hung out and watched. Sweet little thing. 
After sawing a few trees, the boys tried their skills at hammering. This is Cade "sucking" his thumb not out of habit but because of pain. Yup- he hammered his thumb. I noticed yesterday that he has a blood blister. He was good though, 6 months ago he would have given up and ran off screaming. He agrued with me for a minute and then he tried again. I was so proud of him. Of course, when the boys scouts were done Kelson had to have his turn. He just can't stand it- it wants to be eight so desperately just so he can go to scouts like Cade.
