K loses another tooth

the entire letter

K's note to the tooth fairy.

The tooth fairy's response. Notice K's little note to use his book light to read his note. I just love this little guy! He brings a smile to my face almost daily! He has lost so many teeth that he's going to cause the tooth fairy to go broke.

Fourth of July Weekend

Our little monkeys
A2 and K are for sure the monkeys of our family. K lives for monkey bars. Since we have been doing P90X we have a pull-up bar in our office doorway. K can whip out pull ups like no other. And A2 can hang there on her own forever! For being so petite, she is a strong lil' stinker!

Playing in the dirt
(see Becky.... my kids do get dirty!)

A2 playing photographer

But no one would take a picture of her with me. So I had to do it.

The little girls in the dresses from H & M's wedding. I just finished L's dress about a week ago. She was so excited to have a dress that matched A1 and A2.
This has to be the goofiest family picture ever! Oh well, it documents that we were all together on the fourth of July. That's all that matters!

Daddy smooches!

I just married a hottie!

Someone was getting a little punchy. It was only 2.5 hours after his bedtime.

Showing off their light sticks. I tried taking a picture without the flash but it was a blur.

Brotherly Love

One day last week, out of nowhere, A1 started running a fever. After taking some pain reliever, she was back to herself again. We were hanging out at grandmas when I hear, "A1 is THROWING UP!!!!" GREAT! I asked K for his undershirt, which he offers immediately with no questions. A1 really just wanted her daddy, but he was working. I needed to clean up the mess in the family room but she didn't want to be left alone in the bathroom. C, my little man that does not get affected by vomit, sat with her AND even "allowed" her to lay her head in his lap. That is something that would never happen on a normal day. But when I needed some help, my little men, were right there more than willing to do whatever was asked of them. There is a lot of comfort in such an experience. I have had many moments in the last month wondering what kind of mother I am. My kids seem to argue constantly about every little thing, even in public! I'm often humiliated. But after, this I know they genuinely love each other and will be there for one another when needed.

Plum Picking

Papa A has a fabulous Plum tree in his backyard. All the kids except C has enjoyed picking the fruit and consuming it. And I mean CONSUME!! A2 has eaten pounds of them I swear. Her diapers are disgusting but it's so hard to deny her such good, FREE fruit.
A2, extremely supervised, on the ladder picking her some plums.

YUM!

Random Silly girl pictures

Cheeto and I have been doing P90X for the past 2.5 weeks. A2 tries to workout with me. this morning she got the weights above her head but then lost focus and tipped over backwards.

This is how she napped one day. I have no idea how that is even comfortable enough to sleep through. I never heard even a slight whimper out of her to know she was sleeping like this.

Father's Day Fun

Happy Father's Day mi Vida!
Thank you for all you are!

This recipe is probably one of our recent favorites. My fabulous sister-in-law found it and shared it with us. It's from Eat Better America. They aren't a quick make but so worth the time! I laughed that Adam really had to ask if I was serious when I made them from scratch. Of course, I did. He then said, "Really? You can make cheesecake from scratch?" :) Oh Adam!

There's my man, showing the kids how to eat them properly. :)

Tie Dying Shirts and Camping... NOT!

So the plan was to dye shirts for our fun camping trip coming up with the entire family minus Haley and Marcos. However, once it came time for camping it was SO HOT we were all in agreement to do something else. The kids have really enjoyed their shirts though.
I used the boys undershirts that didn't make it through the orange crayon load of wash. Recycling shirts worked great. Even the girls used white shirts that were stained or otherwise non-wearable. I used a long-sleeved onsie that the sleeves were nasty. I just made ribbing and cut the sleeves off. So cute!

Such fun!

So instead of camping, Adam bought a iron yard fire pit thing. They have roasted many marshmallows and hot dogs in the past couple of weeks. We are pretty sure that's all the kids really wanted to do camping besides sleeping in a tent. They did have many sleepovers at G'ma's house together.

See how hot it was outside? Poor Sassy!
