21 weeks 3 days

This is so not my best picture. The camera was about to die and this was the only picture we got taken before it shut itself off. We figured we would start to take pictures of my growing tummy to show family at home our progress. I must say this is not my favorite thing. I quite enjoy that my family never sees me pregnant. They just see me 6-12 months after baby. And being since this is our last (knock on wood).... we thought it would be fun to keep a better record of such things.

Swimming and more swimming

Lettie gets every other Friday off work. Since we had rain checks to Emerald Point we recruited her to go with us this time. Mom decided to go as well but she had to be home by 1pm so she didn't stay too long. Cheeto had to stay home and work. He was missed! We had so much fun with him last time. It was fun with Tia and G'ma too though! There is no way I could take them alone. Emerald Point is not a place I would want season passes to unless I had teenagers. It's too big and too much all of the time. Couple times a season is good for me. We took the boys on as many slides as we could while G'ma was there to watch Sassy. She couldn't go on the ones they wanted to so this worked out perfect. Then through the afternoon we stuck together. We didn't stay as long as last time but we felt we had our days worth. The kids had a blast. We ended up running into a lot of old friends. As I pulled up to park we ran into a friend of the families that Cheeto and Lettie went to high school with. We ended up parking right next to them. She's in town for a few weeks every summer so Cheeto and I double date with her and her husband. Then we ran into the Gladdens' and the Abreu's. It was a fun day. Of all the days Cheeto had to stay home and work! Poor guy!

Later that night the kids had plans to stay the night with Tia. Yep- all three of them. So Cheeto and I had the evening and night to ourselves. It was pretty quiet around here. We ran a few errands; even found some steals for Christmas presents. We ended up in a ice cream/dessert shop called Maxie B's. It was so cute in there. I'm going to have to have a girl's night there sometimes. So CUTE! The prices were great and I love frozen yogurt! Saturday morning was great not having to wake up to kids fighting and slamming doors. We did our usual Saturday errands and chores and ended the day swimming again. This time at Bur-Mil for our annual ward party. I wasn't feeling the greatest so Cheeto did most of the playing with the kids, which is what they wanted anyway. Cheeto has been gone so much lately that I think the kids really needed this time with him. He was asked to judged the diving contest towards the end. Thankfully a sister in the ward saved me by taking Analise around the pool. We went to get Krispy Kreme for donuts after and all colapsed when we got home. I'm ready for my Sunday afternoon laziness!

There was a primary activity right before the ward pool party. Kelson was the only one interested in participating. This his marshmallow temple he built. He was proud of it. Analise just wanted to eat it.

sewing frenzy

I'm in the sewing mood! One of our good family friends had a baby shower yesterday. I, of course, had to make her something. She had found some UNC fabric she liked and asked if I could do something with it for her. I decided to make her a little jumper dress. I finished the dress one morning while my hair dried. It took seriously less than 40 minutes to make. After that I decide I really should put something else with since she bought the fabric and such. So I knitted her a baby hat. I came up with something new and clever. It turned out so cute that Analise has one in the making! MAN- I wish I knew what gender our baby was! :) I finished the hat and still felt like the gift need a little something. I decided to google unique baby shower gifts. I came across a product called "Hooter Hiders." Can you guess what it is? It's exactly what it says- a nursing cover to hide your hooters. :) What a name! It still makes me laugh. Who really calls them that? Anywho... they were selling these things anywhere from $35-$50. My first thought... You have got to be kidding me! Loved the concept but the price was ridiculous. I decided to make one of course. I put in some little terry cloth pockets to hold pacifiers and such and terry cloth so you can wipe the excess off afterwards. It was so cute I made myself one. It's very girly but I figured the baby isn't wearing it- I AM! It doesn't matter what color it is- right? Many really liked it that I think this is what I'll be making all friends with babies in the future!

I can't sleep alone!

Thursday night a very LOUD thunderstorm rolled in. If I had known it was coming I would have made a greater effort to get the kids in bed before it really hit. Once they're all asleep they will sleep right through it; however, this night was not the case. At the first flash of lightening, immediately followed by the crash of thunder all three kids shot out of bed. Analise was screaming to sleep in my bed, which I was ready to go to yet. She then proceeded to ask if she could sleep with Kelson. He said that was fine as long as she would stay by the wall. I threatened both of them that if I had to warn them even once about goofing off they would be back in separate beds. It wasn't 5 minutes later they were both out. Cade on the other had fought it for the next hour and a half. He tried everything from hiding under the covers to putting pillows over his head. I finally had the idea of turning their fan on high. This muted most of the sounds. When I went in to check on them before I went to bed this is what I found. Analise stayed true to her word... she stayed by the wall!

Vinyl Letter Saga

Our Enrichment leader had been working on a project with me at my house when she saw some vinyl letter tiles and boards I had made. She loved them and asked if I could get more letters if the sisters in our ward were interested in doing it for the Christmas in July craft fair. I had bought them from a lady where I grew and knew I would be able to get them so much cheaper than anywhere else. I was also sure she would be able to ship them in a couple of days. In the 10 years I have lived here my mom has always mailed something and I have had it on my door step less than 48 hours later. Wouldn't you know this would be the time for it to fail? And it failed miserably! Not only didn't show up on time it took 4 more days to get it. It took 10 days to get it. I would call our post office and track it and they would just tell me that it looks like it's sitting on a shelf somewhere in Grace, Idaho. I would tell them that that was impossible if they knew the size of our little post office. Thankfully, Jackie from Grace Post Office finally contacted our post office here and raised some havoc. Seriously... she faxed them a nasty note and not 30 minutes later this package was being hand delivered! My mail had already been delivered for the day too. Thanks to Jackie and Jodi for all the help! Now we have to come up with another date for all the sisters to get together and make these adorable things! AGH! There is a reason we use FedEx and UPS!!!!

Pictures and Stories

The week without TV went really well. The boys only complained a couple of times and that was it. We played lots of games and the kids discovered toys they haven't played with in a long time. I did find my house was a bigger mess by the end of the day. The only time it was weird for Cheeto and I was at night when we'd sit down to eat our snack before bed. It was odd just eating in silence. I even found I go to bed just fine without a tv or radio on. Now we know all of this we have limited our television time to one movie a day. The boys complained when they discovered because they chose to watch a movie this morning that that meant they weren't going to get play the playstation. It didn't last long. However, they did try to be sneaky and watch a part of a movie while I taking a nap with Analise. The only time I watch TV is at night after kids go to bed and I found that reading fills that time nicely. Of course we have our shows we like that we will watch but the time that's spent in between those shows is gone.

We were grilling tonight. Kelson and Analise were waiting by the front door with Daddy's panthers apron in hand just waiting to help him cook the chicken. Analise was probably the most excited that her apron matched Daddy's. She has become very clingy to me opposed to how she use to be with Cheeto. However, She knows what gets her daddy. She knows exactly who the steelers and panthers are and that whatever she does/wears for her daddy that it will make him smile.
Notice the bag of cereal on top of the cupboards. A few mornings ago Analise wanted to eat that specific cereal for breakfast. You all know that there was no way I was going to reach those without climbing up there to get them. I told her we could wake daddy up soon and he would get them down for her. She kept signing cereal and hungry like she just couldn't wait for daddy. She asked me to sit her on the fridge so she could get them. I sat her up there and immediately she started crying and wanted down. When I asked her to lean forward so I could get her down she panicked. She then made Kelson go get daddy up to come and get her down. I guess she won. She woke daddy up and got her cereal too.

My daddy can play soccer!

We have really enjoyed going to Cheeto's soccer games the past few weeks. We have only missed one because of a birthday party. Cade, Kelson, and even Analise can't wait for soccer days to roll around. I took these pictures last game. We were looking at them this morning and Cade and Kelson kept saying- WOW! Daddy really can play soccer! We have had the boys playing rec soccer for 2-3 years now and Cheeto will give them pointers and such now and then. It's good to have the boys watch their Dad. I know Cheeto gets frustrated with himself once in awhile but for not have played in 10 years- the man can still play!

Cheeto's New Office - Phase 1

I always like to see before and after pictures of houses and such when they are being built. I asked Cheeto to take our camera and take pictures of his new office just after it got framed out. It's too hard to try and type out and explain what is what. It's going to look pretty dang nice when it's done. They say by the end of August they will be ready to move in. I'm tellin' ya.... this place knows how to get things done!

A view of our new one....

Today we had to be at the dr. office by 8:30 am for our ultrasound. We have never taken our kids to one. Since this is our last chance to do so we took all of them. Cade and Kelson really like it. The technician told them that she had a little "doll" that would show them about the size the baby would be. They really liked that part. Cheeto is admit about having a surprise... so obviously I can't tell you the sex of the baby. Y'all will find out first of December. :)
Cheeto then took them all to Office Depot to buy some penny school supplies. We have been doing this the past few weeks. It really saves when you add it up. It just takes multiple shopping trips. We ran a few errands and came home for quiet time. This week we have set a goal for absolutely no television or playstation for the week. So far so good. No one has said too much. Cheeto took the remotes to work so we wouldn't even be tempted. Cheeto and I are also limiting our computer time. Obviously with businesses we can't say NO computer for the week. So this might be my last post until the weekend. It's only the first day so I'm interested to see how the rest of the week goes. We/I really feel like since summer has started that the tv is asked to be on way too much. We are all at fault. Even though Cheeto and I only watch it in the evening after the kids are in bed, we couldn't really say no tv just for the kids. It'll be a fun experiment.

Last night we went to visit a good family friend of ours that had knee surgery. Analise has been worried about "her" Bobby. She absolutely loves him! However, she had a hard time staying awake for the visit. Once she saw him though she perked right up and started sharing his ice cream. We took him some of our yummy zucchini bread for a treat. Kelson was very proud of his bread. This was taken in the elevator. Bobby is Cade's primary teacher and has missed him dearly the past couple of weeks. Needless to say... they were all excited to see how he was doing.

I was blog reading this morning and found this quite entertaining.............. I just want everyone to know I have a great husband and this is just for entertainment.
In NO way am I raggin' on my man!

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0 .

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as:

· NBA 5.0,
· NFL 3.0 and
· Golf Clubs 4.1

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2. 6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate

Dear Desperate,

First, keep in mind,
· Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while
· Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.

If that application works as designed, Husband1.0 should then automatically run the
applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0 .

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend:

· Cooking 3.0 and
· Hot Lingerie 7.7

Good Luck Babe!

Eew..... Gross Mom!

Yesterday morning there was a knock on our door. It was from our neighbor. She had a bag full of greens beans, cucumbers, and zucchini. I was so excited for the zucchini. I have been wanting to make zucchini bread for awhile. After a day full of errands, last night was the first chance I had to make it. Cheeto had gone back to the office to study late. I started grating the zucchini when Cade came in and said, "Eew. What is that? It looks gross! You're not going to put that in what you're cooking are you?" I sent him away until I was done. He loves my pumpkin bread so I knew he would like it. Kelson and Analise on the other hand were chomping at the bit to taste the batter. They didn't care in the least. Once the bread started baking and the house was filled with the aroma Cade perked up and said, "YUM MOM! Smells like cinnamon bread. When will it be done, it's making me hungry!" It wasn't out of the oven 2 minute when all 3 of them had gathered around the table with napkins in front of them waiting for their taste. Cade immediately took 2 slices which made the other 2 follow. 5 minutes later- one mini loaf was completely gone- crumbs and all. I must admit I ate my share. It was probably the best recipe I have found. Super YUMMY!

School Backpacks

Cade has had the same backpack for the past 2 school years. He chose a "Cars" pack when he started the 1st grade. He is so easy on his bags that this "Cars" bag still looks like new. However, Cade didn't like it last year and I knew he would have something to say about this year. After discussing it with Cheeto, 'we' decided that we really didn't want to buy them character bags that they get tired of after 6 months. I found them some nice Steelers and Panthers bags for the same price and cheap Target and Walmart packs. This way they can switch back and forth whenever they want, they aren't ever going to go out of style like the character ones do and they are nice sturdy, organizer backpacks. The boys were excited. When Cheeto was looking them over he told them he wanted a backpack too. Little spoiled boys!

Wet N' Wild - Emerald Point

I know if I don't blog this now it's going to be a week or more before I remember to do it again. Cheeto has a client/friend that is the assistant general manager for Emerald Point water park. He told Cheeto to call him anytime and he would get us tickets. I was all over that! Cheeto made the call and we had tickets waiting for us we just had to name the date We were going to go last week but Cheeto's client advised us this week would be better- less busy. The kids have been so excited. They all woke up this morning asking to put their suits on for breakfast at 6:30am. I suppose that is almost sleeping in for them. After packing lunches and getting all the stuff together we left about 9:15am. We got out there with only a short wait until it opened. Cade was just tall enough to go on pretty much everything but that meant Kelson wasn't. He dealt with it ok. Cheeto and Cade went off the Dragon's Den first off before the lines got too long. I was trying to walk behind and take some pictures, this wasn't enough for Analise and Kelson so I decided it was best that Cheeto and Cade went and did their thing and the rest of us would hit the Happy Cove. This is a place with kid slides and playground stuff. Kelson had slides his size to go down. It took some forcing to get Analise to go down the first time. She really liked the swings best. We probably could have sat there all day for her. Cheeto and Cade found us and we found out that as long as Analise and Kelson were accompanied by an adult there were some slides they could go down as well. Analise really didn't say much for almost 3 hours. This is not like Analise. She was just going with the flow. Cheeto and I were standing in the kids pool just watching all the kids and noticed Analise had gotten her head under water and fighting it. Cheeto pulled her out. I think it shook her up a bit. She was very cautious after that. We went to the picnic area to eat our lunch and went back inside for some more fun. We soon discovered that we had lost one of Kelson's shoes. He wasn't too upset and neither was I- it was cheap water shoes that was a hand-me-down. But wouldn't know... as Cade and I were going to the slides we found Kelson's lost shoe sitting next to a flower bed. I guess what would someone do with one shoe? The lazy river was a hit. We sat in that thing for almost an hour, I bet. I believe this is where Cheeto and I got most of our sun. Towards the end of the day we discovered the raging river slide. This slide had triple tube riders so Cheeto and I took turns taking the boys down. Analise didn't care, after 5 minutes of observing she was gone. It was funny because as we were leaving she perked up and said, "Daddy, that was fun!" She slept the entire time- what did she remember of it? It wasn't 15 minutes later it was announced that they had to close the park due to weather. We got rainchecks for another full day. 2 for 1 deal- we are excited. Bummer that Cheeto can't take another day and bum with us. Daddy bought us pizza on the way home. He had to run in sheets of rain. It was good ole-fashion southern rain storm. We came home, showered, ate pizza and watched a movie. We couldn't have ended it better. Cheeto did go to work tonight. We had so much fun having him with us today. It's been a long time since we have had such a fun full day with just our little family. The kids couldn't have been better. Not one complain or whine that I can remember. Everyone was happy to help each other and go with the flow. I'm sad to see the day come to an end. I knew that next summer we wouldn't be able to go like this so I was glad we had the opportunity this year.; having a baby complicates things when you go swimming. IT WAS A GREAT DAY! I won't forget it!

*watch Kelson when the bucket of water falls on him. I guess there was more pressure there than he thought.

New Library visit

Today I decided we were going to try a new library. I found out the downtown library is closer and a neighbor told me they have a great children's selection. The one we usually visit has a fun house in it that the kids enjoy so I was hoping there would be something at the downtown one that they would like. You have to park in a parking garage next door. The kids were so confused. We don't use parking garages very often. They thought because they weren't actually in front of the library that we weren't really going to the library. They seriously thought I was teasing about taking them to them. We got inside and they were so pleased. The house they have there was different but still entertaining. They had some children sized lounge chairs for them to read in, which excited Analise! Cade and Kelson loved was the huge selection of books they had in their reading levels. It wasn't long before they were all in love with all the movies they had. They told us the limit was 5 per adult card and 2 per child. We could have brought home as many as 11 movies. There were lots they were interested in but we limited it to 5 this time. Best to spread out the entertainment over the rest of the summer. On the way out Analise was asking me where her card was. It used to be that you had to be age 4 to get a card, so for Cade and Kelson's 4th birthdays we took them to get their own library cards. I thought it was still that way so I was trying to explain to my 2 year old that she wasn't old enough yet when the lady said she could get her a card. Analise was THRILLED.... as you can see! They turned in their June reading logs and got some prizes- little pads of paper, pencils, stickers, and a free admission ticket to ArtQuest. We might have to take them there one afternoon. I'm a proud mommy knowing that my kids love to read and look at books so much. Kelson is becoming quite the little reader and he hasn't even started kindergarten. I think he looks up to his big brother, Cade and wants to read like him. Cade reads like a mad man!

Updates and more updates....

So I've been MIA. Lettie and Nola were ragging on me the other day saying I needed to add something to the blog. The past couple of weeks haven't been as the first couple weeks of summer. However, I have been staying busy and often forgetting to blog. When Cade was in school I was so much better because I would blog each morning as I waited for him to eat breakfast. Now that everyone is getting up at the same time, I often forget and by the time the kids are in bed I'm so exhausted I'm not thinking straight to write anything. I believe blogs are a record for the recorder not for entertainment for everyone. However, the entertainment does become a great benefit, especially when close family lives 2400 miles away! That being said... read on and look if you like- warning it might be boring to read back so far in the past. It's a lot of updates and fun pictures. At least I don't forget to keep my camera handy.

Cheeto has been doing about the same - working and studying. I have been busy working on a Plan of Salvation display as well as The Creation. It's been a lot of work in photoshop and die cutting. It's about finished except for the laminating. I have had to take it easy for a couple of weeks. A couple of Saturdays ago I was doing body pump at the gym and felt fine. By Monday morning I could barely walk. I don't know that it's related to my workout but my hip/lowerback have been acting up a lot lately. I talked to my doctor about it and it's more than likely sciatic nerve problems related to pregnancy. I have since had to put my gym membership on hold and take it easy. I'm a bit frustrated to say the least. At one point I was stuck in my kitchen for about 30 minutes not being able to put any weight on my right leg. OUCH! Cade has been a big help in assisting me to get to the couch or chair. I will just really have to watch what I eat and exercise upper body for the remainder of the pregnancy. I guess I have pretty much announced we are pregnant. I must say I'm a bit surprised very few have noticed our floating fetus on the blog. It's been there for more than a month now and only 2 people noticed. Sad!

OH- we found out what made the van stink. Cheeto went through the backseat pockets and found a mozarella cheese stick in one of the pockets. It was bad news! At least we found the problem! GROSS though!

Saturday Fun

Saturday was a day packed full of fun. Ok well, our Costco trip wasn't all that exciting. However, we got to eat at Steak n' Shake with everyone afterwards. I was a bit crabby because of a headache and the kids were just pushing buttons right and left. I think we were all exhausted. We had to hurry home to make it to the stake 4th of July Parade at the stake center. Cade isn't real comfortable on his bike yet so he volunteered to push Analise on hers. He was very nice to her. He was cautious and patient. I was proud of him. It started to pour as soon as we started putting the bikes back in the van. We came home and zonked out for more than 2 hours. We went back to G'ma's for a bit to see Marcos before he left. We had plans to go to the Hoppers game with Tia that night. Her office has box seats which are way nice. Even though we had the kids up late 2 nights already this week, we just couldn't pass up the opportunity. We went a bit late so they would last to the fireworks. We got there the top of the 5th and by the bottom they got rained out. We hung out for about an hour listening and dancing to crazy music. Tia and Analise were having a good time. They even got on the big screen. G'ma and I were in the gift shop but Cheeto and the boys saw them. BUMMER!!!! They finally announced they would still do fireworks even though they had to call the game. At least it all wasn't bust. We are all tired today. However, because of church time naps are rare on Sunday. Mystery of the day: we got in the car for the Hoppers game and my van reeked! It smelled like sour milk. We had bought milk at Costco but none of it had dripped in the back. The smell was more in the front. We looked and looked and couldn't find anything. We put in an air freshener and hoped that would help. We shall see!

4th of July

This year we decided to do things a little different. I have to say I have never been impressed with Greensboro parades, especially the 4th of July one. The Christmas one isn't too bad because they have the giant balloons that entertain the kids. Since the kids really never liked the 4th we decided to join some friends in a game of softball at 9am. They wanted more of a full on softball ball game- meaning no kids were really allowed to play. We decided to go early and play with the boys some before so they didn't wouldn't feel too bad when only the adults got to play. Tio Marcos came early to play as well. Kelson was standing on first base when he yelled to Cheeto, "Daddy, I stepped on a frog." Cheeto said to just leave it alone. Kelson yelled back, "But daddy he's got blood." Cheeto went over and kicked it into some nearby grass. Poor Kelson did feel bad. He got a little mixed up when he said, "Daddy the next time I kill a frog, I won't mean to kill it." I think he was stepping close to it to try to get it to jump away and he accidently stepped on it. The boys had some fun with Daddy and Tio. When all the adults started to show up; G'ma, Tia Lettie, and I took the kids over to the park with the dogs, MJ and Bofo. They had fun over there for quite awhile. The boys love playing with the dogs. However, Bofo had an injury so they couldn't really play with him much. Soon Marcos came limping over in pain. He got line drived and wasn't walking real well. He was in quite of bit of pain the rest of the day. After the game, Cheeto had to go to work for awhile. Analise helped me make some cookies. She's becoming quite the little helper. We then played some games before lunch and had some quiet time. I was in need of a good nap. Cheeto came home at 3pm and we headed to G'ma's to play on the slip n' slide. Cade had gotten into some trouble and wasn't allowed to play in the water. This made me feel bad but he has to learn there are consequences for your actions. He didn't gripe too much while they were playing. He helped me take pictures and played with MJ. We ate dinner about 5ish. Kris and Lettie were late because they had to take Bofo to the doggie ER. They found out he had a fracture in his leg and broke his toe. I think that's what they said. Not sure for sure. :) They brought him back with a splint up his entire leg. Poor thing. I'm not an animal person by any means, but it was still sad to see him doped on drugs and not being able to walk. Marcos and his friend Stu did some street fireworks for us. Analise didn't like that her daddy was down where the sparks were flying. Kelson comforted her and covered her ears. What a sweet big brother! We were late getting home again. This was the second night we had the kids up past 10pm. That is so rare at our house. We had a fun 4th and that's all that matters.

My first Drive-In Movie

I have thinking we would go to Eden to the Drive-in for the past couple of years. They actually get new released movies. They always show double features as well. Two movies for the price of one- how can you beat that? This past weekend they were showing "Wall-e" and "Get Smart." Nola had mentioned she wanted to take us to see Wall-e on the fourth. But when I saw it playing at the drive-in, I thought this would be much more fun. It was still one of the cool July days and turned out being a bit chilly. We actually wore jackets and blankets! Crazy- huh! It was a perfect night to go. We all went to the movie for the same cost as taking 2 adults at the movie theater. You can't beat that! They had a fun playground for the kids play on while we waited for it to get dark. That definitely made the wait faster! Analise was so scared of the ramp to get in the boat. Cade helped her up and down for the first few times but she soon got comfortable enough to crawl up it. Funny lil' girl! When the movie started we laid down the back seats of the van, got out the soccer chairs, bean bags, popcorn, and treats from the dollar store. Analise was back and forth from G'ma's lap and Mommy's but it was much easier than containing her at a movie theater. It was a pretty cheap movie night. I had liked to stay for Get Smart but Cheeto couldn't sleep the night before and was exhausted. We needed to get him home to survive the next work day. Kelson was so tired on the way home that he was whining about everything he thought about. It was pretty funny! They were all out cold before we made the 30 minute drive home.

74 degrees in July

Can you believe it?!?!? I couldn't! The first of July was amazing! I was out at noon and my car read the temperature as 74. It was true. It was so nice. The humidity was so low for a few days. It was heavenly. This is so rare for North Carolina. I decided since it was so nice outside it was a great night to cook out. I had been grocery shopping earlier and corn on the cob was on a great sale. That is was got me craving grilled chicken and corn on the cob. I actually should call it corn cut off the cob. Cheeto and I hate eating corn on the cob so I always cut it off to eat it. The Arellano's always laugh at us. Who cares! It beats having all it stuck in your teeth and having to pick it out for the next day. Well, off my corn tangent... I took the cover off the grill and a fist sized wasp nest fell out on the deck. I just kicked it across the yard not thinking. Throughout our dinner there were many wasps looking for there home. That was the least of my problems. When I went to start the grill it wouldn't light. I was so mad! I had the chicken marinated and everything and now the grill wasn't going to work. I called Cheeto and he said there 'might' be out of propane but he would have to look at it when he got home which might be awhile. He was having to put out a fire at work. After a few minutes I decided I would try one more time. Thankfully it worked this time. Kelson said since it was so cool outside we should eat on the deck. Great idea! We ate and had a just a bit of time to play before bedtime. Cheeto played with them for a bit before he headed back to work. Analise had walked in front of Cade on the swing before dinner and ended up eating a mouth full of bark. It was pretty gross. She wanted to swing all by herself after dinner. I must say- it was a great evening!

Final Day of Safety Town

Kelson was ready to be done with Safety Town. He did have a lot of fun and learned lots. I think he was tired of it because the time of day we had to sign up for to be accepted. 1-3pm wasn't a great time of day for any of us. The last day they had a little 'graduation' planned for the kids. I thought it was a little on the cheezy side. They actually had the kids walking in to "Pomp and Circumstance." Cheeto and I looked at each other and just had to laugh. Radio Disney was there to help with the celebration. We got him a t-shirt and headed to McDonalds. All the parents were asked to bring a snack for refreshments afterwards. It was just so crazy that I didn't want to hassle the crowds. I bribed the kids to leave if I took them to McDonalds for ice cream cones. They were all down with that. I asked for 4 children's cones but the guy evidently didn't hear me. The cones were full sized. The kids struggled to eat it all. If I had known that I would have shared with Analise. We went home and we all took a much needed nap!

I left my camera in the car. My phone just had to do. Sorry they aren't the greatest pictures!
