Christmas Pics

Arellano's 2006 Christmas PJ's
This one is out of place.

Santa came to visit at Cheeto's new office. They just had a mini office party afterwards.

Analise didn't like this at all. She was much better when I was holding her. We just had to try for one picture.

As you can tell, Kelson was very unsure about this situation. When Santa asked who wanted to sit on his lap Cade immediately said that Kelson wanted to. Kelson was timid but he did it. This is the first year that they both did. I was so proud!

Cade telling Santa that he wanted Chick Hicks and King from the Cars movie for Christmas. Sad to say that Santa ran out and had to tell him that he would try to mail it later.

I have to give Cheeto some credit. He took this picture. How cute are they? Of course I would think that! It's just not very often you can three kids under the age of 6 to smile so cute all at the same time!

Daddy and Analise after church on Christmas Eve. I just realized I'm not in any of the pictures. Too bad! I didn't feel very good so I didn't look very good either. That will be another post!

Cade gave Cheeto some much grief about not putting lights on our house. One day we were pulling up to our house and Cade said, "Look Dad, that house - they like Christmas; that house- like Christmas; our house- we don't like Christmas." Santa was unable to get Cade one of the things on his list so he told Daddy to put lights up to make Cade happy. The lights turned out pretty funky on camera.

Mom, it's not paper....

Cade just figured all boxes were wrapped with paper. Grandma C just used a decorated box for Cade's present. He just started ripping... then realized it wasn't working that well.

Analise opening her baby doll

It took her awhile to figure out the opening present concept. It took some serious restraint from her brothers not to jump in and speed up the process.

hurry... Open your present from the Dollar Tree!

Cade was so excited to give Kelson his gift from him.

Kelson and Trucks and Rogs

I know I'm a tard. I didn't mean to turn the camera and film this. Sorry!

Analise and her first baby doll. I loved that it was purple! It also has a binky attached to it. Analise has a purple binky. She tried sucking on this binky for hours before she realized it wasn't real!

Kelson's has been asking for this little train for forever. He's been calling it 'truck and rogs.' None of us can figure out why. It's special to him because it has the rod that connects trains wheels. Are they even wheels? What are the called?
Kelson got Thomas the Tank Engine for his Leapster from G'ma and Papa C. Kelson is still young enough to love his trains.

Grandma and Papa C got Cade a Spiderman game for his Leapster. He was pretty excited to have something Spiderman. They are both really into Spiderman and Batman right now.

Analise got an Elmo flip phone from G'ma and Papa C. She carries this around everywhere. She even knows what to do with it. She holds it up to her little ear and just jabbers. Cute little girl!

FUN PICS with G'ma and Papa C

Sorry this is out of order... ASHEVILLE - Thanksgiving 2006

WE HAVE TICKETS TO THE POLAR EXPRESS!!!!!!!
Cade and Kelson immediatelly started to pretend to punch the tickets behind their backs! We all knew they would enjoy this trip. You can't tell they are excited can you?

This was taken while we were all waiting to get on the train. Grandpa Christensen was packing Analise on his shoulder. Of course, the boys had to find some shoulders to ride. It made a cute picture! Cade is getting so big to pack around. Poor Cheeto...

Mom and Dad on left and Nola and Ryan on right
Every once in a awhile I had to remind Ryan to sing and cheer up. I was teasing him because he had to sit next to Nola and Cherie just because they both LOVE christmas songs. I was only teasing. He had Dad to chit-chat with. It seemed like we all enjoyed ourselves. They passed out hot chocolate and rice kripsy treats. I would recommend anyone with little kids to do this sometimes over the holidays.
Llano's just for a photo moment. Cade was in and out of his grumpy moods. He obviously didn't want to be in this family picture. I hope the little stinker grows up and asks me why half the pictures we have of him he looks grumpy. I don't really but... still! It's so hard to get the child to cooperate sometimes!

Santa Claus visited each car and gave out silver bells if you "Believed." Kelson and Cade told him what they wanted and such. A couple of days later I asked Kelson to tell me what we wanted for Christmas, perhaps even show me. He informed that he had already spoke with Santa and that he didn't need to tell me. WHAT- is what I was thinking?
The time of our departure was perfect. On the way out we were able to see lots of the country side and towns. But on the way back it was getting dark and totally dark by the time we stopped. All of the lights were on so it made it look different on the way back. The boys had lots of fun look at all of the lights. I think the adults did too. The conductor was leading us in Christmas carols and such. Nola and Cherie were loving this! :)

Cade and Kelson waving good bye to the next Polar Express train. Grandpa Arellano had bought these train whistles at the gift shop. The boys were in heaven. This was the highlight of the trip. The boys got to wear their pj's and everything. I was so glad they enjoyed as much as they did.

Arellano's right before we left. Cade and Kelson kept calling this chalet our "NEW" house. When it was time to go home they got all upset and said they didn't like our "OLD" house and just wanted to live at the new house. Sad- isn't it? Kelson had made a squirrel bed down on the driveway a couple days into the trip. Each time it was time to go out he would remind Cheeto not to run over his squirrel nest. When we left he wanted to know if we could pack it to take home. Funny kid!

The Christensen's on the day we were leaving for
Greensboro. This trip was so fun. It was fun to have Uncle Ryan spend a few days with us. On Thanksgiving, Lettie and Kris and Marcos came for dinner. Actually, Marcos picked Ryan up at the airport in Charlotte. They got there Wednesday night. Lettie and Kris came up for Thanksgiving day. We ate dinner and made some Christmas ornaments.

Cade and Cheeto started to exploring. I didn't get most of this on camera because something happened to my camera. It froze up or something. I was nervous that it wasn't going to work for the rest of the trip. Since the trip really hadn't started yet. This is about all I got on film. I thought it was an adorable picture of Cade. Makes him look pretty innocent. What do you think?

Cade had made me upset before going for a walk with my Mom. He was talking back or something. He was wanting to go outside. So Cheeto took him out to look for us. Cade came to apologize for making me mad.

This is the driveway up to the chalet. Cheeto had me nervous the first couple of times up. Mom was pretty scared. I think the more times we drove it the more we got use to it. The first night we were there it was sleeting/raining. The next morning it was COLD. Even my parents from Idaho thought it was freezing. I was just praying that it wouldn't snow or something and we would get snowed in on this mountain without much food for 9 people and a baby. Not to offend Cheeto or Chemo.... but it made more at ease knowing my dad was up there. I was really more comfortable with him driving. I'm not really sure why though... Cheeto is a pretty good driver.
This is the view from the front deck of the Chalet. Quite the scenery- eh? You can't even begin to imagine how pretty this view was. We really felt like we were the only ones on the mountain even though you did pass a dozen or so houses on the way up. Mom and I went for a walk one day and found another chalet just up the road a bit. I don't think we would have ever known it was there. They all are very well hidden.
Mom, Dad, Nola, and I went to the Biltmore Estate on Tuesday night for the Christmas Candle Light Tour. It isn't literally candle lit. It was awesome to see at night. They opened up new rooms since the last time we had been. It was lots of fun and quite impressive. They had the driveway lit with luminaries. I think Mom and Dad were impressed and enjoyed it!

Analise at the 'chalet'. Cheeto wouldn't allow us to call it a cabin. It was the perfect size for what we needed. The boys at a room downstairs to watch movies, play games, and pretty make a mess. It was such a fun vacation.
